In Memoriam: Christodoulos Floudas

Christodoulos “Chris” Floudas, professor of chemical and biological engineering emeritus, died Aug. 14 of an apparent heart attack in Chalkidiki, Greece, while on vacation. He was 56. An authority in mathematical modeling and optimization of complex systems, Floudas taught at Princeton for 29 years before moving to Texas in 2015, where he was director of the Texas A&M Energy Institute.
