Since 1919, the Princeton University Band has provided a soundtrack for Tiger football games and other campus events like Reunions. In this slide show, we follow the band's history from its origins to the present, showing the evolution from a traditional marching band to today’s irreverent scrambling ensemble.

On PAW’s Nov. 4, 1940, cover, the band strides onto the field.
In 1970, the band makes its pregame march down Prospect Avenue.
After football victories, the band celebrates by playing a few songs in the Fountain of Freedom, outside Robertson Hall. This celebration is from September 1990.
