Dan Mavraides ’11 scored a career-high 26 points, including a key 3-pointer in overtime, and MEN’S BASKETBALL outlasted Rutgers, 78–73, in the Nov. 12 season opener at Jadwin Gym. The Tigers fell to 1­–1 with a lopsided loss at Duke two days later.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL opened its season with a dominant 78–37 win over Fairleigh Dickinson Nov. 13. Center Devona Allgood ’12 scored 20 points in 24 ­minutes.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL dropped out of Ivy League title contention with a pair of road losses at Dartmouth and Harvard Nov. 12 and 13.  

Princeton and Penn battled to a score­less tie Nov. 6 in a match that decided the Ivy WOMEN’S SOCCER championship. The Quakers (4–1–2 Ivy) earned the title, edging the Tigers (4–2–1) in the standings.
