Princeton officials have been reaching out to students, faculty, and staff members in Japan after Friday’s horrific earthquake and tsunami, and so far, the news is good.
All five of the Princeton-in-Asia fellows in Japan are safe, said executive director Anastasia Vrachnos. They include Lauren Ledley ’10, the only Princeton participant, who is teaching in Yakage. There was no news Monday from other Princeton alumni, including three who live in the hard-hit city of Sendai.
A trip for graduate students in architecture that had been scheduled to depart Friday has been canceled, Cliatt said.
