"At first the Dinky train seems a terribly mundane subject for a film," says Markus Kneer *09, creator of this short video.

"However, given that it connects the world to Princeton, it becomes exciting," Kneer adds. "Anything is possible on this five-minute Dinky ride – it therefore becomes an object of projection and provokes us to imagine unconventional encounters. It is this aspect which I explore."

Kneer was a Procter Fellow at Princeton University in 2008-09. He created “The Princeton Dinky” for a film course at the Lewis Center for the Arts.  Kneer is currently working on his Ph.D. in philosophy at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris.
