A mountain climber, Burhardt was executive producer of this documentary, which follows her and two other climbers as they set out to determine “how adventure creates opportunity for cultural understanding” in Namibia, she said. The film shows them as they prepare for and tackle a 1,300-foot ascent of Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain, and chronicles their interaction with the Himba, a pastoral tribe. WayPoint Namibia was chosen as an official selection at the Boulder Adventure Film Festival and at the Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Nevada City, Calif.
