Bicycle Accidents in the March Memorials

The March edition of the PAW included the notice, in the Memorials section, of three separately random and terribly tragic alumni deaths from bicycle accidents. The back-to-back pages were only coincidental of course, but it was a startling adjacency. Sadly, the deceased are Robert White ’64, Jonathan Weber ’80, and Catherine Johnston ’87. Requiescat in pace. The arguments either way will balance one another undoubtedly, but one begins (past certain milestones), to weigh walking more and bicycling less, though equal risk likely lies everywhere. Heartfelt condolences are deeply extended to the friends and families involved.
