In response to your picture in the November PAW (From the Archives), I’m sending this primarily before it fades away.
I don’t know where I found the courage to audition for student conductor, but I made it as assistant to classmate Andy Jackson. I don’t recall if I had any other performances, but thanks to my roommate Randy Barton, I have this fading image. As a biology major, pre-med, with 28 class hours a week, how did I find time to be in the band and miss only two games in four years? Counting high school, I never sat outside of a band at a football game!
