I agree with these comments and would add one more concern: By writing the description in this fashion, the perpetrators of this course are announcing that students who have a different perspective will not be welcome. They are selecting for a group of like-minded individuals where true academic discourse will be minimal. This should be anathema to any institution of higher learning.
