The tradition of Men’s Club going back to Princeton extended at least until the ’80s. I, as well, as some of my fellow Colonial Club members, were recruited to be in an on-campus photo shoot they took in the summer of 1986. We blended in with the Japanese models they had brought with them and had a wonderful experience. Our pay was a dinner at Lahiere’s afterward. We were told that we would get copies of the issue when it came out, but we held out little hope that we would actually see it. Amazingly, they were sent to us via FedEx, arriving the same day the magazine hit the newsstands in Tokyo. Looking back, it was one of the more random and wonderful of my Princeton experiences.
