Ed died March 31, 2022.

The son of Edward K. Dunn 1922, nephew of five alumni uncles, and father of Edward K. Dunn III ’84, Ed came to Princeton from the Gilman School, majored in economics, and joined Ivy Club. He was advertising manager of the Bric-a-Brac and head manager of the lacrosse team. Due to illness, he left Princeton during junior year but returned the following fall. His junior roommates were Buzzy Krongard and Shaw Wilgis.

Shortly after graduation he married Janet Evans and then earned an MBA at Harvard. Thereafter he worked as an investment banker, vice president, and director at Robert Garrett & Sons and a commercial banker at Mercantile Trust Co. His family grew with the addition of Holly, Edward III, and Peter.

A pillar of the Baltimore community, Ed served as chairman of the board of Johns Hopkins Medicine and vice chairman of Johns Hopkins University, the Robert Garrett Fund, and the Catholic Family Foundation. He also loved to fish with his wife and classmates Stan Emery, Eb Faber, and Cary Woodward.

Ed is survived by his wife, Janet; their three children; and their families.
