In this sci-fi thriller, readers are thrown into an artificial intelligence controversy. In The Boy Who Saves the World (Word-Wise), Dr. Newman, the world’s leading AI pioneer, has created an AI prototype that escapes from his lab. It ends up hiding inside of and controlling the actions of a boy named Carlos. Things get out of hand and the AI convinces Carlos to buy a gun to shoot Dr. Newman. As the AI becomes smarter and continues to wreak havoc, Dr. Newman is both proud and terrified of what’s to come.
