Gustav Stresemann

(Europa Verlag Press) This biography of Gustav Stresemann (1878-1929) is a thoughtful study of the chaotic Weimar Republic experienced by its leading statesman. Stresemann was awarded the Nobel Prize for the peace treaty he negotiated with France, thereby ending the international agonies entailed by the Versailles Treaty of 1919. Originally published by Europa Verlag Press in Germany, the book’s English edition has recently been released.
