For several decades beginning in the ’80s, Gurpinar worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). While there, he witnessed many major moments in nuclear history including Chernobyl, 9/11, and Fukushima. In this book, Gurpinar reflects on the impacts of these moments and more which have shaped nuclear safety and national security. Stories of Nuclear Safety (Austin Macauley) offers a fresh perspective on critical moments in nuclear history with the goal of bringing new awareness to the general public.
