Alan Eugene Warren ’49

Body

KNUTE PASSED away on Oct. 20, 1989, at the Princeton Nursing Home after a battle with emphysema. He was 64.

Born in Princeton on May 5, 1925, he was a psychology major at the University and graduated in 1950. He was happy to stay on and "make my home and living in Princeton, a town I would give up only for the most extreme reasons," as he wrote in our Ten Year Book. Knute spent his entire career as a research analyst for Opinion Research Corp., headquartered in town. He was involved with the Princeton Junior Chamber of Commerce, concentrating on the area of community growth, and was a member of the Princeton Democratic Club.

Knute was a jazz buff, an avid reader, a sports fan, and whiz at sports statistics. For years he enjoyed the Jersey shore beaches, particularly at Manasquan. He never married, and at the time of his death was already retired from Opinion Research Corp.

Knute is survived by a sister, Dorothy MacDonald of Troy, Pa.; three brothers, Francis E. Warren '37 of Graettinger, Ia., Walter R. Warren of Tarrytown, N.Y., and Donald J. Warren of Ewing, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews. We extend to each of them our sympathies.
