ALBERT "A.B." TURNER DIED in Yarmouth, Me., after a long illness. He was born in New York City and grew up in Chappaqua, N.Y. He served as an insurance sales agent for Northwest Mutual Life until he joined the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a lifelong fan of the N.Y. Giants baseball team and was involved in coaching both football and baseball.

Albert earned a master's degree in education and then moved to Maine in 1951, where he taught in local high schools until his retirement in 1968, He returned to New York City for five years in the early 1980s, after the death of his wife, Alice, but returned to Yarmouth several years ago. Albert is survived by his brother, a son, and two grandchildren.
