ALBERT MARCUS MORGAN of Morgantown, W.Va., died May 31, 1994. He was 81. He prepared at Central H.S. in Washington, D.C., and at Mercersburg Academy. After one year at Princeton, he transferred to West Virginia Univ., where he received his A.B. in 1936 and his J.D. in 1938.

Al was admitted to the bar of West Virginia and of the U.S. Supreme Court. He served as U.S. Attorney for northern West Virginia and retired from law in 1981. He also served in the army for five years during QWII, and left the army J.A.G.D. as a lt. colonel.

He was a member of Beta Theta Pi and Phi Delta Alpha (legal) fraternities, Sons of the Revolution, and the West Virginia and American Bar Assns. He was an elder of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., and a 33rd Degree Mason. He was on the boards of the Monongalia General Hospital, the Suncrest Bank, and the First Natl. Bank of Morgantown. He was a member of the West Virginia board of Regents for 12 years.

Al is survived by his widow, Dorothea Morris; sons Albert B. and Samuel M.; daughter Suzanne; and two grandchildren. Al indeed led a full and productive life.
