Allen E Moore Jr. ’27
WORD HAS just been received that Allen F. Moore Jr. died Nov. 22, 1991, probably in Ottawa, Ill., his last known address.
Allen came to Princeton from Culver Military Academy. He was a member of the Princeton Glee Club and Key and Seal. He left Princeton in 1926 to work with his father, who was president of L. E. Rodgers Clay Products in Ottawa. He then became a district agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. and a director of Tylac Co. of Monticello, Ill.
During WWII, he chaired the Payroll Savings Committee for War Bonds in LaSalle County, 111. In 1945, he was elected president of the Illinois Valley Assn. of Life Underwriters. He later served as a director of the Citizens Building Corp.
In 1927, he married Frances Cruikshank ofDecatur, Ill. They had son Allen F. Ill and daughter Patricia. In 1950, he married Margery Nelson, and they had four children: Scott, Allan A., Kathy, and Susan.
We have no more information on Allen since 1962, but I believe he left numerous grandchildren. To his survivors, the class extends its sympathy.
