PETE DIED MAY 22, 1993, in Hillsborough, Calif. I He prepared at Lawrenceville School. While at Princeton, he was a member of the j.v. crew (third boat), Triangle Club, and Tiger Inn. He roomed with Ellis Duncan and David Stone. Pete received a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1934.

Pete served in the navy during WWII and was discharged in 1946 as a lieutenant commander. He was president of the North Douglas Mills, Inc.; Sharon Lumber Corp.; and Sweet Home Lumber Co. He retired from the lumber business at age 50.

Pete was a passionate skier and a founder of Sugar Bowl Ski Resort~ he chaired the skievents committee for the 1960 Olympics in Squaw Valley. He bred and raised black labradors, and was a longtime president of the Northern California Retriever Trial Club, and a president of the Labrador Club. He is survived by his widow, Rona, and two sons, Michael and Tony. The class will miss him.
