Arthur Stull ’21

ARTHUR STULL DIED on July 7, 1991, of cardiac arrest. He was 92 years old. Born in Alderson, Penn., he prepared at Mercersburg Academy. At Princeton he was a member of Key and Seal Club and lived alone.

After graduating he did further work in chemistry at M.I.T. and received his Ph.D. from Columbia Univ. Art was a wellknown, wellpublished and welltraveled chemist. During WWII he was commissioned captain and served as assistant director of the laboratory division of preventive medicine, Office of the Surgeon General. After the war he was chief of the basic sciences research branch,

He was a fellow of the American Assn. for the Advancement of Science and a member of the American Chemical Society. He belonged to the Metropolitan Club and the Princeton Club of Washington.

A bachelor, Arthur Stull is survived by a niece, Mary M. Rines of Weston, Mass., and her two children and two grandchildren.
