Aubrey Pearre III ’40

Beau Pearre’s wife, Dorothy, had just advised us that he had to be moved to a special-care unit when Frank Gray, ’42’s class treasurer, sent us a Baltimore Sun obit reporting Beau’s death Oct. 25, 2011. We have lost one of our big supporters.

Beau prepared at Calvert School (Baltimore) and McDonogh (Md.) School. At Princeton, he majored in politics and graduated with honors. He was on the wrestling squad and 150-pound crew and joined Cap and Gown Club.

After five years in the Navy, during which he attained the rank of lieutenant commander, he spent his business career in the Baltimore area as an executive and founder of a company manufacturing marine paints.

Beau served as 1940’s vice president and secretary, as well as an executive committee member of the Princeton Alumni Association of Maryland. Gardening was his major interest.

His survivors include Dorothy (Jenkins); his children, D. Carroll Jenkins, Mary Schaeren, Aubrey IV, and Edward; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. To them all, his classmates extend sincere sympathies.
