C. Richard MacGrath ’43

Body

Dick passed away Feb. 19, 1995, in N.Y.C., following a heart attack. He was 73. He graduated in June 1943 and served in WWII, receiving a Presidential Citation.

After the war, Dick worked for Lazard Frères as an investment banker; he retired in the mid 1980s. After retiring, he spent much of his time serving on boards such as the Metropolitan Opera and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dick also enjoyed spending summers at "Beaglesmere," in Dustin, N.H.

Dick's wife, Nancy, predeceased him in 1980. The couple had three children, Susan, Francis, and Andrew, and two grandchildren, Alanna and Lindsey. To all his survivors, we extend our sympathy.
