C. Robert Biondino ’65

Bob died Oct. 9, 2010.

He graduated from Choate and, after Princeton, from the University of Dentistry and Medicine of New Jersey. He interned at the Medical College of Virginia and served in the Navy and on the Sioux Indian reservation in Nebraska. He was an orthopedic surgeon in the Meriden, Conn., area for over 30 years and delighted in outdoor sports, family, and pets.

Bob was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in 1977 and was a member of the International College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Ortho-
pedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, International Association of Arthroscopy, and American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine. In 2008 he was named one of America’s top orthopedists by the Consumer Research Council of America.

Bob was a member of the PAA of Eastern Connecticut and social director for Cannon Club, and had been participating in preparations for Cannon’s return to the campus. His many friends remember his storytelling and zest for life.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon; children C. Robert Jr. and Alysha Biondino Havrilla; and grandsons Chaz and Brendan. Donations in his memory may be made to the C. Robert Biondino Scholarship fund, c/o the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.
