CARY NELSON WNSIGER DIED of cancer Mar. 20, 1994, at a hospital near his home in Pasadena. At Princeton, Cary ran track and was in the Press Club and in Cap and Gown. He was also active in the Undergraduate Council, the Honor Committee, the StudentFaculty Assn., and the Westminster Society. He also won the R.O.T.C. Expert's Gunner's Cup.

After graduation, he spent three years in India as a missionary, teaching English, economics, and Bible. After that, he got a degree from Westminster Theological Seminary, then married Elizabeth Whitney Forbes Aug. 28, 1937. After several early pastorates, he served at the large Presbyterian church in Mt. Lebanon, near Pittsburgh, for 13 years, then went to one in Menlo Park. He retired in 1974.

He and Becky moved to Pasadena, but still enjoyed their summer home in Madison, Conn. When not on the golf course, he filled in as an interim or guest preacher at various places. He earned a Ph.D. in 1984, at the age of 74. Cary was the prime mover in founding the alumni group Prayer for Princeton.

Cary is survived by his widow, Betty; a son, Cary N.; daughters Mary W. Andeen and Ruth W. Moore; I I grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret and May; and a brother, Carter. Cary was a great joy to know and to be with. He will be terribly missed by his friends and classmates. Our profound sympathy is extended to each member of the family.
