Charles Baird Morgan ’39

Body

CHARLIE DIED AUG. 28, 1993, at his home in Berwyn, Penn. We had not seen him since the end of our sophomore year. During the summer of 1937, he went to work for Synthane Corp., a producer of laminated plastics. Charlie never returned to complete his undergraduate work at Princeton. From 1944 until his retirement, he was with Synthane, becoming general manager of production in 1957 and later becoming president until Synthane was bought out by Alco, after which he retired.

Over the years, Charlie was active in civic affairs, serving as a director of Montgomery Hospital and as chairman of the United Fund of Montgomery County.

Charlie and Isobel Lincoln married in 1938. Isobel; their son, C. Baird Jr.; and their daughter, Helen, all survive. We offer them our sincere sympathy.
