Charles Davis died Apr. 18, 1995, in Topsham, Maine, where he had lived since 1991. He came to Princeton from Philadelphia and Germantown Academy. In college, he played guard on the first 150-lb. football team and was on the 150-lb. crew. He was a member of Court Club and served as its treasurer.

He got a degree in chemical engineering and was involved in plastics throughout his career, He was a founder of Stokes Trenton, which specialized in plastic molding, retiring from the company in 1978. He wrote several publications in the field of plastic mold design and served as president of the Society of Plastics Engineers. He also lectured in postgraduate programs in this field at Princeton and at Drexel.

Charlie was a faithful alumnus of Princeton and a dedicated, loyal, and effective member of the class. He was active in class affairs when he lived in Princeton, and served the class in many ways, including serving as reunion chairman on several occasions.

He is survived by his widow, Betty Forsyth Davis; by two daughters, Beth Birch and Ritchie Dow; and by four grandchildren, to all of whom we extend our sympathy.
