CHARLIE CASPAR1 died Feb. 16, 1992, after surgery in Barnes Hospital, St. Louis. He went to Princeton Prep. and at college majored in politics, was manager of the tennis team, and was a member of Tower Club. He took his law degree at Washington Univ. in 1932, and in 1935 joined the legal staff of Monsanto Co. After retirement in 1966, he was in private practice, while continuing his valuable volunteer contributions to the city of St. Louis. Since the '30s, lie had been active in the development of the St. Louis waterfront; he served on committees whose work resulted in the building of the Gateway Arch; and he was president of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial Committee. He also was instrumental in the founding of the state's nonpartisan court plan. he was a trustee of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and was awarded an honorary degree of pharmacy. He always enjoyed gardening, and in earlier days, skiing and floating on Ozark streams.

Charlie married Susan Elizabeth "Betty" Wyman on Nov. 6, 1939. She survives him; as do two sons, Charles W. '60 and John A.; a daughter, Susan Carnwath; eight grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Charlie was active in the Princeton Club of St. Louis and was a frequent attender of '28 reunions. His classmates mourn the passing of a popular and energetic friend, and extend their genuine sympathy to Betty and their family.
