Charles Ewen Cameron Jr. ’20
CHARLES EWEN CAMERON JR. passed away on Aug. 31, 1992. He did his preparatory work at Montclair Academy. Charlie attended Princeton from 1916 until 1918 when he was commissioned as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army. After his service during WWI, he received his law degree from Cleveland Law School in Cleveland, Ohio.
He returned to Newark, N.J., to assume the presidency of the familyowned Lauter Piano Company, which at the time was New Jersey's largest piano manufacturer.
He served in many capacities during his long and productive life. They included: officer in the Orange Lawn Tennis Club, service in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII, radio broadcasting in Newark, and helping found the Garden State Concert Society.
His wife, Helen, passed away in Mar. 1992. He is survived by his daughter, Janet C. Ollinger; his son, Charles E. 111; his granddaughter, Liza Jane Ollinger; and his niece, Leigh Cameron Randall; to whom we extend our deepest sympathy.
