CHARLIE DIED Jan. 24, 1993. He prepared at Hotchkiss. While at Princeton, he was a member of the banjo club, Theatre Intime, Clio Hall, and Arbor Inn. He roomed with H. S. Gardner Jr. Charlie went on to Harvard Law School, earning his LL.B in 1934. During WWII, he served in the army in the judge advocate general's department; he was discharged a major in Nov. 1945.

Charlie was a partner in the firm of Reynolds, Richards, LaVenture, Hadley & Davis of New York, and was active until 1989. He was president of the St. Nicholas Society of New York and a member of the Union Club and Downtown Association. He is survived by his widow, Katharine; daughter Beverly; and granddaughter Jennifer. He will be missed.
