Charles T. Williams Jr. ’28

C. T. DIED of pneumonia Jan. 7, 1994, at his home in Baltimore. He belonged to the large Gilman School contingent of our class. At Princeton, he was a member of Quadrangle Club.

After college, C. T joined the investmentbanking business of C. T Williams and Co., Inc., which his father founded in 1923. He managed this company throughout his career, retiring in 1979. When the brokerage business was sold to Legg Mason, C. T continued to work, serving on the board of Legg Mason. In WWII, C. T. was in the navy, stationed in Washington; he attained the rank of commander.

His chief hobbies were sailing and waterfowl hunting. He participated in races to Bermuda and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. He was a member, vestryman, and chairman of the investment committee of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Towson.

He married Virginia McIntosh on July 5, 1939. She survives, as do three childrenC. T. 111 '63, Charlotte McClain, and David '71and six grandchildren

C. T. attended the 50th and 55th reunions, as well as many earlier ones. He was slowed down by illness for more than a year prior to his death. The class has lost a loyal member and an unusually congenial friend, and extends its deep sympathy to Virginia and their family.
