Clifford P. Garveyjr. ’47

CLIFF DIED Oct. 6, 1991, in the V.A. Hospital in Bath, N.Y. He was originally from N.Y.C. and lived in the City or on Long island most of his life. He prepped at St. George's School in Newport arid joined our Class in 1946, after serving for three years in the Army Medical Corps in the Pacific theater. At Princeton, he was a member of the Triangle Club and Cottage Club. He received an A.A. degree in 1948. Cliff had deep Princeton roots, his father, Clifford 11. Sr. '21, ,Intl his uncle James McB. Garvey Sr. '17 having preceded firm at Old Nassau, and his cousin, James McB. Jr. '50 following him.

After graduation, Cliff worked for many years as a salesman for American Laundry Machinery Co. in New York. Poor health restricted his activities in recent years, and most of us lost contact with him, but we shall remember him from his exuberant days as an undergraduate.

He is Survived by his sons Clifford III and Christopher, Join grandchildren, a brother John P., and a sister Minu Martin. We extend our sincere sympathy to them.
