Daniel E. Walzer ’32
DAN WALZER died of cancer Aug. 31, 1990, in N.Y.C., where he was born and lived most of his life. He prepared at Poly Prep, and at Princeton was the handball champion of the University for two years. He was among our large contingent at the Harvard Law School, from which he graduated in 1935. During WWII he served as a major in the Air Force. Dan practiced law privately for many years, and later joined the firm of Samuel Lefrak, where he served as V.P. until his retirement in 1982. After that he devoted most of his energies as a director for the Inst. of Retired Professionals. To those who knew him he was a most pleasant and genial person and an excellent speaker with a fine mind.
In 1946 Dan married Marjorie Grier. She survives him, as do a daughter, Wendy, two stepsons, Oscar and Jack Schafer, and five granddaughters, to all of whom we extend our deep sympathy.
