David Abraham Huber ’30
DAVE DIED Sept. 3, 1991. Since 1988 he had been a resident of Lima Estates, Media, Penn. He was born May 7, 1908, in Pennsburg, Penn., and came to Princeton from the local high school. In college he roomed with Rene Clark, majored in classics, and played trombone in the University band all four years. junior year he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was a cowinner of the Wood Legacy Prize. Because of illness, he received his diploma in absentia with high honors. After graduation Dave taught for a year at Swarthmore Preparatory School and then moved to Germantown Academy for 17 years. In WWII he was a Navy lieutenant, serving as the education and training officer for the Pacific Wing of the Naval Air Transport Service. In 1948 he joined the Insurance Company of North America, became an assistant secretary, and retired in 1973. Dave never lost his interest in music and he played and sang with various groups in the Philadelphia area. He and his wife, Marion, also found time to travel extensively. Dave married Marion Ruth Smith in 1934, and she is his only survivor. We extend our deepest sympathies.
