David B. Lenahan ’98

David Lenahan died Nov. 26, 2010, at Albany (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was 34.

Born in Schenectady, N.Y., Dave came to Princeton from Columbia High School in East Greenbush. After earning a bachelor’s degree in history he later received a master’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

At Princeton he was active in Whig-Clio and the Progressive Review and was an employee of Dining Services in Rockefeller and Mathey colleges. He also was a member of Quadrangle Club.

Before his death, Dave was employed as a policy analyst for the New York State Assembly and viewed his job as a challenging but exciting opportunity to work for the public good.

A man of encyclopedic knowledge and rapid recall, he was interested in music, literature, history, politics, and trivia. He was an avid sports fan and was especially devoted to the Wisconsin Badgers.

Dave is survived by his parents, John Michael and Cathy Lenahan; his sister, Dawn; and his extended family and friends, to all of whom the class extends its sympathy.
