We note with sadness the passing of Dave Aug. 15, 2020. A Chicago native, he grew up in Racine, Wis., where he was president of his high school student council, an Eagle Scout, and recipient of letters in various sports. A member of Tower Club, he graduated from Princeton cum laude, majoring in history. His love of American history continued throughout his life.

A medical corpsman at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital, after his discharge he earned a master’s degree in psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a Ph.D. from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Much of his professional focus addressed psychological issues confronting military veterans. He served at the VA Cleveland Medical Center, providing counseling services to students as well. His career also included teaching at John Carroll University and Cleveland State University.

A lifelong bachelor, Dave is survived by brothers Henry, Phil ’61, Stephen, and Robert. His was a life of significant service, and many will miss him.
