DAVE GRAY DIED at his summer home on Nantucket July 4, 1994. When not on Nantucket, he and Kougie had resided in Greenwich, Conn. He attended Greenwich Country Day School and graduated cum laude from Groton. At Princeton, Dave majored in economics, played varsity baseball, and was president of Ivy.

He was in the Navy V-5 program and served as a major in the marine corps in Korea from 1950-52. Dave spent his entire business career with Continental Insurance Co. until he retired in 1979. He was president and chairman of AFCO, a premium financing organization, and president of Diner's Club Intl., both subsidiaries of Continental. He was also a director of Revere Copper and Brass.

Dave was involved in a number of philanthropic endeavors, which included service as president of the Greenwich chapter of American Red Cross and a trustee of both the Greenwich Hospital Assn. and the Intl. Center for the Disabled. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, and golf. His greatest joy was his two daughters and four grandchildren.

Dave is survived by his widow, Kougie; daughters Joan White and Lynn; and his brother Gordon '55. To all his family, the class extends its deepest sympathy and shares in their loss.
