David A. Miller ’46

DAVE MILLER DIED Oct. 3, 1991, in Forestville, Calif., but the class did not hear of his death until recently. Dave was raised in Wellesley Hills, Mass and he prepared at Noble and Greenough School came to Princeton in June 1942, left in Feb. 1943 to join the air force, and returned to Princeton in Oct. 1945.

Dave had a brilliant wartime record, flying 57 combat missions in the European Theater, winning the air medal with three oakleaf clusters, and acquiring seven battle stars as navigator of a B17. At Princeton, he majored in aeronautical engineering, joined Dial Lodge, and played football.

Dave began his career at United Aircraft Corp. as a research engineer, working on aerodynamics. Later, Dave moved to California and was an aerodynamics and passivesolar consultant.

Dave leaves two sons, Richard and David. The class sends its condolences to them and regrets that Dave lost touch with the class over the years.
