DEBORAH J. NORDEN died in the USAir plane crash Sept. 8, 1994. She was 40. She was born in N.Y.C. and grew up in Hartsdale, N. Y. She got her bachelor's at Brown in 1976, then got a master's in architecture at Princeton. At the time of her death, she worked as an arts administrator for the New York State Council on the Arts. Prior to joining the Council on the Arts, Ms. Norden worked as an architect for the companies of Paul Segal, Richard Dattner and Charles Boxenbaum, in New York. In 1991-92, she held a Loeb Fellowship at Harvard. She wrote numerous magazine articles concerning architecture; authored a book in 1988, Reweaving the Urban Fabric; and had been writing a biography of the architect Fay Jones. Survivors include her widower, Dr. Barry M. Magid; her parents; a sister; and her paternal grandmother. To all who loved her, we offer heartfelt condolences.
