DENNY SHANAHAN died Apr. 7, 1991, of I pneumonia, in Hermona Beach, Calif. His wife, Lee, hail died there in June the previous year. Denny grew up in Pittsburg and went on to Choate, where he became wellknown as one of the famous "Quiz Kids." After one term at Princeton, Denny enlisted in the Air Force and became a flight officer, before returning to the campus in 1946. Denny was instrumental in reviving the postwar Triangle Club, composing two of its shows. In addition to majoring in English, Denny was news editor of the DAILY PRINCETONIAN and a member of Tiger Inn.

After a brief tour in Germany with the State Department, Denny started his journalistic career in California as editor of STEEL AGE magazine and the SANTA MONICA JOURNAL. This led to a new career in public relations, handling accounts for various Hollywood stars and squiring a daily radio show, "Word of the Day," which analyzed the use, abuse, and misuse of the English language. Denny will long be remembered by classmates as an impresario, writer, wordsmith, talkshow artist, and especially as one of our bestloved and most dynamic classmates.

To his brother Jim, his sister Dorothy Coakley, and to his four stepchildren, we extend our deepest sympathies.
