Donald Adams Taylor ’65

Body

An avid wrestler in high school and college, Don continued to follow local and state wrestling after graduating with a degree in philosophy and membership in Cannon Club. He had a passion for logic, probability, and game theory.

Don’s children, Sarah, Carrie, and Seth, gave him tremendous joy and pride. He was a leader as well as an active participant in his community, serving as president of the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, North Shore Kiwanis, and a local ecology group he helped to found.

Don earned his law degree from Cornell, was employed by IBM, and served New York State’s Office of Court Administration as director of education and training, launching his own practice in Manhasset in 1987.

Don continued to derive great pleasure and stimulation from his connection to Princeton, as evidenced by his legacy of wit and humor, his marvelous desire to seek after truth, and his strong commitment to family and community.

He is survived by his children, his mother, Mary McCord Taylor; brother James; sister Ellen Lyon; and grandchildren Maisie, Isabel, and Tatum. The class extends its sympathy to all of them.
