Donald D. Dingman ’41

We recently learned that Don died Oct. 25, 2008, in Summerland, Fla.

Don graduated from Ridgewood High School and was with us only through fresh man year before transferring to Union College  in Schenectady, N.Y. He graduated as a premed major and went to medical school in Albany. After earning his medical degree, he served in the Army until the end of the war.
Don entered private practice with his father in Paterson, N.J. In 1964, he moved to Rutland, Vt., and opened his own office.

After his retirement, Don moved to the Florida Keys, where he served with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, at one point being commander of the unit.

Predeceased by his first wife, Emily Dingman, and his son, Norman, Don is survived by his wife, Muriel Burke Dingman; his son, Donald; his daughter, Emily; grandchildren Christopher and Donald; and six great-grandchildren.
