Donald W. Campbell ’49

Body

The following memorial was posted online with the April 23, 2014, issue.

Donald Campbell was born June 18, 1921, making him one of the oldest members of the class. We have now learned of his death Oct. 25, 1954. He is buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery.

Donald came from East Orange, N.J., and attended Valley Forge (Pa.) Military Academy, where he played football and tennis and ran with the track team. At Princeton he lived in 512 Pyne, belonged to Tower Club, and majored in history. He left the University after four terms.

Sadly, we know nothing of his life after that. He was last known to have been living in East Orange. We regret our loss of contact with Donald and would extend our sorrow at his premature passing to his loved ones had we knowledge of their identity and whereabouts.
