Edward Conrad Doll ’25

ED DOLL WAS BORN November 17, 1903, brought up, lived and died May 2, 1991, in Erie, Penn. He transferred from Colgate in 1922 and has been a wellliked and loyal member ever since. He was in Key and Seal, and had served on the Class executive committee for many years.

He spent his entire business career with the Lovell Manufacturing Co., retiring as president in 1969. As trustee of the Erie Community Foundation from 1949, and president in 1969, he was responsible for grants to deserving civic organizations and charities. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church and past President of United Way, Manufacturer's Association of Erie, Rotary, the local Y.M.C.A., and Harnmot Medical Center. He served as a director of the Security Peoples Trust Co., secretary of the Erie County Hospital Authority, Community Development Commission and was a former director of the Federal Reserve Bank, Cleveland District. He was a trustee of Gannon University, a 33rddegree Mason and a member of several social clubs. He was, in short, "What every man of civic mind should seek to be."

His wife, Virginia, died in 1988. He is survived by their son, Henry '58, and four grandchildren.
