Edward H. De Coningh ’22
ED DE CONINGH died at his home in Shaker Heights, Ohio, May 5, 1991. He is survived by his widow, Martha; two daughters; a son, Edward Jr. '51; nine grandchildren; and six grandchildren. He was serving as Class agent for Annual Giving at the time of his death, and was recently cited for his perfect personal
participation since the inception of Annual Giving.
After graduating from Princeton, Phi Beta Kappa, he studied at the Univ. of Grenoble, in France, and earned an engineering degree from M.I.T. He joined Mueller Electric as a partner and ultimately became chief engineer, president, and finally chairman. During his lifetime he served as a trustee of Western Reserve Univ. in Cleveland, the Salvation Army, the Great Cleveland Neighbor Centers Assn., and the Cleveland Institute of Music.
He was an avid downhill skier, a skater, and a tennis enthusiast. Ed lived a very full and rewarding life.
