Edward Holden Morgan ’38

Body

ED DIED of cancer Sept. 29, 1991, in Woffeboro, N.H., where he had moved in 1990, after a lifetime of dedicated service in the ministry. This included 25 years as pastor of the Westerly Road nondenominational church in Princeton, which he had founded and which ministered particularly to students of Princeton, the Theological Seminary, and Westminster Choir College.

Ed prepared at Hotchkiss, majored in classics, and was president of Terrace Club. He earned his Th.B. at the Theological Seminary, where he was president of the student body.

When he retired from his Westerly Road pastorate, he moved to Whiting, N.J., where he was chairman of the board of America's Keswick, a Bible conference and substance abuse rehabilitation center.

Ed married Helen Elizabeth (Betty) Baldwin on June 15, 1940. She survives him, as do sons Edward Jr. and the Rev. David Morgan, daughter Carol, six grandchildren, and his brother Henry, To them and his multitude of former parishioners, his many friends in the Class of 1938 extend their sincere sympathy. We all will miss this dedicated servant of God.
