Edward K. Min ’94

Ed died May 21, 2010, in a paragliding accident on Canyon Ferry Reservoir in Montana. Ed’s friends mourn this tragic loss and the stolen opportunity to see where Ed’s path in life would take him.  

At Princeton, Ed majored in history, played on the rugby team, and was an officer in Tiger Inn. He spent the better part of a year exploring the West before returning to matriculate in Bryn Mawr’s Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program. Ed was accepted into medical school, but he declined and headed west to Jackson Hole, Wyo., to pursue what became a lifelong passion for the outdoors; skiing, biking and paragliding through the Rocky Mountains.  

Moving between Utah, Korea, New Jersey, Wyoming, and Montana, Ed became an accomplished skier, paraglider, and all-around outdoorsman. In 2009, Ed channeled his passion for the outdoors and desire to help others into a climbing expedition in Denali National Park, raising money for Big City Mountaineers “Summit for Someone.”

At the time of his death, Ed was settled in Bozeman, Mont. He is survived by his parents; his sister and her family; and his beloved dog, Roxy (who quickly found a new, loving home in Montana). The class extends its deepest sympathy to them all.
