Edward Morton Banister Jr. ’48

Ed Banister died Nov. 27, 2009, at age 82. He was a longtime resident of St. Simons Island, Ga.

A native of St. Louis and graduate of St. Louis Country Day School, Ed joined us in September 1946 and earned his A.B. in economics in June 1950. He was a member of Cap and Gown and was involved with Triangle Club.

He started his business career in advertising but switched early on to financial advising. He was associated with Baker Weeks & Chase investments while residing in Darien, Conn.

Ed is survived by his wife of 20 years, Martha; his son, Todd; and daughter Leslie. He was predeceased by his son, Clayton.
