Edwards S. Cobb ’41

Body

Ted Cobb died Dec. 27, 1999, in the Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. His death came after a single day of pneumonia, but he had fought multiple sclerosis for 18 years. His wife, Jeanne Willett Cobb, survives.

Ted was a graduate of Lawrenceville and majored in mechanical engineering at Princeton. He became a member of Dial Lodge and had Bob Hutchinson and Herb Willett for roommates. Herb is Jeanne's brother.

Born in South Orange, he became an editor for the McGraw Hill Companies and moved on to AMF. He lived many years in Framingham, formed Cobb Associates, then taught public relations for several computer companies. Ted was a devoted member of his first Congregational Church and was always active in other churches he joined. He was a member and past master of the Monitor Lodge and Scottish Rite Bodies. Serving on the Sudbury Town Council, he still found time to coach Little League.

Other family survivors are sons Harry and Brian, daughters Cathy Higgins and Jan Ziemba, and three grandchildren. We are sorry to lose this talented and courageous gentleman.
