Elisha Camp ’25
"CAESAR" CAMP died Mar. 31, 1991, at his home in Stratham, N.H. Born in N.Y.C. Apr. 24, 1902, he graduated from Exeter. At Princeton he roomed with Horace Moody all four years and was a member of Key and Seal and Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated with highest honors in history, obtained his law degree at Harvard, and did postgraduate work at Columbia Law School. After some years of practice in New York, serving as attorney for the Assn. of Life Insurance Presidents, he moved to Saxton's River, Vt., where he started a frozen foods business. He was a dedicated conservationist and served on the board of directors of Care and Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc. He spent the winters in Sanibel, Fla., where he was active with Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation, which named the Elisha Camp Trail for him.
He was a member of the Vermont State Guard during WWII. He married Doris Osgood of Saxton's River in 1929 and is survived by her; a son, Elisha Jr.; four grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
