Eric D. Altree Jr. ’54

Eric Altree died Nov. 5, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  

Born in Pittsburgh, he graduated from South Hills High School. At Princeton, he was a member of Tower Club and rowed crew his freshman year. He left college to join the Coast Guard and after his discharge graduated from Stanford University in 1961. He made his career in property management and real estate and established his own property-management company in Sausalito, Calif.

Eric built a houseboat on the Issaquah Dock that he made his home for 35 years. In the last decade of his life he married Roberta Montgomery. In addition to two sons, Eric and Nick, from his first marriage, he is survived by Roberta and his sister, Joan Ergin. The class extends its condolences to them in their loss.
